Mr. William Rogers Stamper

Mr. William Rogers Stamper, 79, of Americus, GA, passed away September 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday September 15, 2017 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Dr. Rev. Dennis Stalvey, Rev. Eddie Braswell and Rev. Bill Harris will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Grove cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Aldridge Funeral Services and other times, at the family's residence, 392 Middle River Road, Americus. Mr. Stamper was born April 9, 1938 in Cuthbert, Ga. son of the late Winston Curry Stamper and the late Mattye Rogers Stamper. He graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga. and worked for Turpin Dodge and Arial Implement Company. He also was a self-employed Contractor. Mr. Stamper was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church in Americus and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Juanita J.
