Mr. William Love Hoston, age 73, of Leslie, Georgia, peacefully departed this earthly life on October 12, 2026, at his residence. Though his earthly journey has come to a close, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral and Cremation Services. Bishop Lundy will be officiating. The family will host their own visitation at their residence from October 22 through October 24, 2026, as loved ones gather to share memories, offer comfort, and celebrate the life of a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
William Love Hoston was born on July 18, 1953, to his birth parents, Johnny Love and Mary Iverson Love. He was later adopted and lovingly raised by Reed Hoston and Mildred Hoston, who cherished him dearly and instilled in him the values that would guide him throughout his life: faith in God, love for family, and the importance of working hard. These lessons became the foundation upon which he built his life and the legacy he leaves for generations to come.
A proud graduate of Union High School, William was a hardworking man who believed in earning his keep and taking pride in what his hands could accomplish. He worked for Hoston’s Farms and operated his own business, Hoston’s Painting Company, for more than thirty years. Through dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering work ethic, he demonstrated the value of determination and the dignity of honest labor. His years of hard work stand as a testament to a man who understood the importance of providing, building, and leaving something meaningful behind.
Above all, William was a man of faith. He was a dedicated member of New Corinth Baptist Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life. His earthly journey reminds us that while our days are numbered, the love we pour into others and the good we leave behind continue to speak long after we have gone home to be with the Lord.
William leaves a cherished legacy of love through his daughters, Melody Lewis and Jelena Hoston Seay; his sons, William Hoston, Cleveland Welbon, and Feddrick Hoston. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Lizzie Mae Gibson, Willie Holmes, Recardo Holmes, and Timothy Holmes. His legacy continues through his eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom holds a special place in the family he loved so dearly. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with other relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Though his loved ones must now learn to carry on without his earthly presence, they can find comfort in knowing that the seeds of love, strength, faith, and hard work he planted will continue to grow through the generations he leaves behind. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his legacy one that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.
William was preceded in death by his beloved adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Hoston; his sisters, Estella Mae Love, Johnnie Mae Love, and Alice Thornton; and his brother, Aldean Holmes.
While the family grieves the loss of one so dear, they may take comfort in the promise of eternal rest and the hope of a heavenly reunion. For a life lived with purpose is never forgotten, and a love that has touched so many hearts will never truly leave us. May the Lord grant his family strength in the days ahead, peace in their sorrow, and comfort in the precious memories they will forever hold dear.
