Mr. William Bailey "Billy"

Mr. William Bowers Bailey "Billy", age 79, of Americus, Georgia, passed away on March 6, 2024 at Perfect Care. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. R T Beverly will officiate the service. The family will greet friends following the service in the chapel. William Bowers Bailey was born November 21, 1944 in Americus. He was the son of the late John Newton Bailey and the late Geraldine Bowers Bailey. Billy graduated from Plains High school and attended Gordon Military College. He and his father operated a service station in Americus for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. Harley-Davidson was his favorite motorcycle. He had a love for Labrador Retrievers and had seven throughout his life. Mr. Bailey was Methodist by Faith. Survivors include cousins, Carol Foy Hargrove of Americus, Jane Foy Smith of Americus, Jenny Foy Cochran of Wilmington, KY. Joe Daniel of Americus and Nancy Ethridge Griffin of Albany.
