Mr. Wallace Howard Scott Jr.

Mr. Wallace Howard Scott, Jr, 81, of Leslie passed away Monday March 4, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. David Kitchens will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time and at the family residence 885 Leslie Lamar Road at other times. Mr. Scott was born October 17, 1937 in Sumter County, son of the late Wallace Howard Scott Sr. and the late Mary Alice Varnum Scott. He retired from the Lee county School system, where he worked in the maintenance department. Mr. Scott was a Minister and served the Lord. He was a devoted husband of 61 years. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Virginia Williamson Scott of Leslie; a son Wallace Howard Scott III of Leslie, a sister Lula Scott Bush (Frank) of Americus and Nephews Hamer Abell of Leslie and Gary Abell of Columbus.
