Thelma Smith (Bishop) Satterfield

Mrs. Thelma Smith Satterfield age 90, passed away late Thursday evening, January 1, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services Sunday afternoon, January 4, 2015. Rev. William Hall and Rev. Andy Hines will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.  The following grandsons will serve as Pallbearers Mike Legg, Johnny Legg, Chip Smith, Chris Barry, Robert Horne and Brian Kiley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening January 3, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and other times the residence of Mrs. Betty Barry 312 Pine View Drive Americus.      Mrs. Satterfield was born February 7, 1924 in Americus the daughter of the late William Henry Bishop Sr. and Opal Elizabeth Freeman Bishop. She loved gardening, her church, sewing and her family.
