Stephen Mark Driggers

Stephen Mark Driggers, age 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at his residence in Oglethorpe, Ga.

A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Troy Fripp officiating.

Steve was born on November 19, 1956, to the late Lindberg Driggers and Imogene Watts Driggers in Troy Alabama.

Steve lived in Union Springs, Alabama as a child where he and his brothers were always playing little league baseball. People still remember the “Driggers boys.” He moved to Americus in 1973 and became a brick layer for Paul Bush Home Builders. In 1983 he was a subcontractor at Mulcoa he was a person of all trades until his health declined and rendered him unable to work.

Steve loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his sons, grandchildren and his dog Rebel.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Laura Catherine “Cathy” Tanner Driggers. His two sons Michael (Geneva) and Brad Driggers. His beautiful grandchildren Logan (Bailey) Driggers, Braxton, Kelsey, and Anna Driggers. Two great grandchildren Jude Driggers and Reed Windham. One brother Terry (Tammie) Driggers of Americus, Ga. A sister-in-law Lena Driggers. Along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother Donnie Driggers and a grandson Mark Driggers.
