Sandra Youngblood Bowen

Mrs. Sandra Youngblood Bowen, age 80, of Americus passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Bud Womack will officiate the service.

Mrs. Sandra Youngblood Bowen was born December 6, 1945 daughter of the late Blanchard Youngblood and Nell Hodge Youngblood Henderson. She managed EZ Storage for many years. Sandra was full of light and imagination; she enjoyed crafting, her favorite was shopping for her highly desired crafts at Hobby Lobby. She enjoyed make Door Hangers. She enjoyed going to yard sales and also hosting yard sales. She cared deeply for her cat “Priss”. She was especially excited for the upcoming birth of her great-grandson who is due in March 2027.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Rene Andrews (JR) her son, Jimmy Thomas Underwood Jr. (Robin Morris). She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Underwood (Bobby); her grandsons, Christopher Underwood (Paige), Tyler Barfield and a great-granddaughter Alyssa Underwood.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Bowen and a brother, Gene Youngblood.
