Mr. Roy Daniel Jr.

Roy Daniel Jr., age 82, of 174 Tulip Drive, Americus, GA passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA. A funeral service was held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2016. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reverend Les Reed officiated. A visitation was held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on the evening of Thursday, December 29, 2016. Roy Daniel Jr. was born July 7, 1934 in Americus, GA. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. During his service he served two tours in Vietnam. He served as an infantry unit leader and a MCI Reconnaissance Marine. He was also part of the MCI Marine Corps Reserve Personnel Administration. He received many decorations, medals, and commendations during his time of service.
