Ronnie Ray Pines

Mr. Ronnie Ray Pines age 63, passed away Tuesday morning August 27, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Ga.  Funeral services will be held from the graveside at Preston City Cemetery in Preston, Ga. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Raymond Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends at Preston Baptist Church Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and other times the family residence 6767 Hamilton Street Preston, Ga.  Active pallbearers will be Derrick Pierce, Cody Brown, Scott Rogers, Sydney Grace, Jerry English and Dustin Kirby.  Honorary pallbearers will be the D.A.D. Softball Team, Phil Addy, Thomas Walker and Rebecca Smith.      Mr. Pines was born May 13, 1950 in Preston, Ga., son of the late Felton Pines and Ruby Wooley Pines.  Mr. Pines was retired from Plains Experiment Station after 28 years.
