Robert O. [Bob] Ray

Mr. Robert O. [Bob] Ray age 72, passed away at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Thursday afternoon, August 22, 2013.  Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services, Sunday afternoon,  August 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Tondee, Roby Lightner, Charles Pines, Michael Hernandez, Rusty Harvey and Scott Nelson.  The family will receive friends at Aldridge Funeral Services, Saturday evening August 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 228 Perry Drive Ellaville, Ga.      Mr. Ray was born June 4, 1941 in Columbus, Ga. the son of the late Ovie Maples Ray and Mary Louise Howard Ray.  Mr. Ray owned and operated Ray's Pawn Shop formerly of Americus. He worked for the Americus Police Department for twenty five years and was a Jailer at Schley County Sheriff's Department for ten years.
