Mr. Richard Alvin Zipperer Jr

Richard Alvin Zipperer Jr. 74, of Americus passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. David Chapman and Rev. Brett Maddocks will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery. Richard Alvin Zipperer Jr. was born January 2, 1947 in Valdosta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Richard Alvin Zipperer Sr. and the late Mary Ruth Agee Zipperer. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was also a retired self-employed Painter. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Erin Speakman (Randal) of Dahlonega, GA and a son Richard Alvin Zipperer III of Ellaville. Two grandchildren Christian Zipperer and Kristen Zipperer both of Ellaville. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
