Mr. Oscar Gilliam Jr.

Mr. Oscar Gilliam Jr. age 90 of Americus, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at Archbold Living in Camilla, Ga. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mark Carter will officiate the service. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery. Oscar Gilliam Jr. was born August 20, 1933 in Crisp County. He was the son of the late Oscar Gilliam Sr. and the late Olive King Gilliam. Mr. Gilliam served in the United States Navy. He later worked in tractor equipment sales. Mr. Gilliam loved his pet dogs. He enjoyed square dancing and watching his grandchildren playing sports. He was a member of Salem Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Fuller Gilliam. A son and daughter-in-law, David Gilliam and Kelly of Tifton.
