Nicholas John Smarra III

Mr. Nicholas John Smarra III, age 55, passed away on March 30, 2026. Services will be announced at a later date.

Nicholas was born April 3, 1971 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to his parents, Nicholas John Smarra, Jr. and Gayle Smarra. He had obtained a degree of Science in Public Health, a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics and a Minor in Electrical Engineering. His true passion was to be outside and farming pecans, seeing his hard work grow for over ten years. He adored his family and helping others. He was artistically gifted, and each of his children carry that gift as well. He was a son, a father, a brother, and uncle and took each of those roles very seriously.

In addition to his parents Nicholas is survived by his sons; Dominic Smarra (Jessie) of Raleigh, NC, and Sully Smarra of Leesburg, GA. His daughter, Gianna Nicole Smarra of Leesburg, GA. His two brothers; Michael Smarra (D’nis) of Raleigh, NC and Andrew Smarra (Lisa) of Key West, FL. He was an uncle to Dylan Smarra, Michael Smarra, Lena Dran, and Victoria Dran. He is also cherished by the mother of his children and former wife Mary Beth Burt-Smarra and his fiancée Allison Derderian Callender.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
