Montine (Summers) Poole

Mrs. Montine Summers Poole, age 98, passed away early Monday morning March 3, 2014 in the ICU at Perry Hospital in Perry, GA.  Funeral services will be held from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Steven Golden will be officiating. The following will serve as active pallbearers: Gary Reeves, Gary Parker, Walt Wingard, Kenneth Morris, Danny Arthur and Roland Satterfield.  The family will receive friends at 240 Tom Summers Road after 5:00 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2014.      Mrs. Poole was born in Americus, GA. September 29, 1915. She is the daughter of the late Thomas L. Summers and Gladys Roach Summers.  Mrs. Poole was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where for many years she served as Sunday School teacher, pianist, and was active member in W.M.U.  In 1979 she retired from teaching private piano lessons.  She was a member of The Council of Safety and The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.      Mrs. Poole is survived by a son and...
