Mr. Mitchell Warren Grant

Mr. Mitchell Warren Grant, age 79, of Americus, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025 at his home. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Andersonville National Cemetery. Rev. Gene Wiggins will officiate the service. The family will greet friends Monday, August 4th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Mitchell Warren Grant was born May 11, 1946 in Rockledge, FL. He was the son of the late Kenneth Warren and the late Lois Mashburn Fargason. He was preceded in death by his step father, Junior Fargason. Mitch served his country honorably in the United States Navy and later worked for and retired from Bell South, where he worked in the Regional Management. Mitch believed in trying to get people to prepare themselves for disasters. He was instrumental in forming the Sumter County Sheriff's Auxiliary, the Sumter County Emergency Response Team and was Director of the Sumter County Georgia Citizens Corps.
