Mrs. Miriam Laverne Saunders

Mrs. Miriam Laverne Cheek Saunders age 90, of Americus, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Rev Hugh Harbort and Rev. Andrew Stucker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Sanctuary and at the resides from 1 – 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1216 HWY 19 North Americus, GA . Ms. Saunders was born April 3, 1927 daughter of the late Wallis Furlow Cheek and the late Ada Louise Arrington Cheek. She retired from the Board of Education with the Americus City Schools. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
