Mildred Kinard Wilson

Mrs. Mildred Kinard Wilson, age 101 of Americus, GA, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Central Baptist Church. Dr. Bryan Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church foyer from 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Interment will be private at Oak Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson was born March 5, 1917 in Sumter County, daughter of the late Thomas Edmond Kinard and the late Melissa Cheek Kinard. She was an Educator and helped her husband run their business Dock Wilson's Store. She was the oldest current member of Central Baptist Church and a former member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 36 years. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law; Bettie Kennedy of Americus, Anne Meadows (Jim) of Greensboro, GA and Cindy Schaeffner (Jeff) of Americus.
