Ms. Mildred Emily Farr, age 98, of 317 Judy Lane, Americus, GA passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Perfect Care in Americus, GA. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reverend Hilton Gillespie will officiate. A visitation will be held an hour prior to service in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services on Monday, January 2, 2017. Ms. Mildred Emily Farr was born September 27, 1918 in Rutledge, GA. She served as a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Community Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry H. Hensler; her mother, Jessie Clyde Phelps; her husband Elgin Farr; three brothers, James Carter Hensler, Brudd Hensler, and Joseph Hensler; three sisters, Edna Howard, Katherine McCord, and Euberta Malcom; one son, Clifford Farr, three son-in- laws, John Alford, Earl Gillespie, and Wayne Carden; and one great grandson, Konnor Farr; She is survived by two brothers,...
