Michael R. Allen Sr.

Mr. Michael R. Allen Sr. age 57 passed away early Saturday morning January 18, 2014 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. Bud Womack will officiate.  Sumter County Sheriff's Department will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.  Interment will follow at Leslie City Cemetery in Leslie, Ga.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening January 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.      Mr. Allen was born January 25, 1956 in Wayland, NY son of the late Richard Charles Allen and Sylvia Bickford Allen.  Mr. Allen worked for Williams Office Equipment Company in Americus as a Copier Technician and IT Tech and sales.  He also worked for the Sumter County Sheriff's Department as a weekend dispatcher and was of the Christian faith.      Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Marjorie H.
