Mrs. Merlene Lloyd Frazier

Mrs. Merlene Lloyd Frazier, age 93, of 2496 Ga. Hwy 195 N. Americus GA went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Golden will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Friday in the Fellowship Hall at Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Frazier was born March 7, 1922 in Ochlocknee, GA, a daughter of the late Carl E. and Nona Willingham Lloyd. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School. Merlene was united in marriage to Wilbur Lee Frazier on December 24, 1942 in Americus, GA. They were married for 67 years before his death on January 12, 2010. Merlene taught school at Chambliss School and later retired from Manhattan Shirt Company. In her youth, Merlene was a member of New Bethel Church in Meigs, GA.
