Maureen Elizabeth Williams Porter

Ms. Maureen Elizabeth Williams Porter, age 73, of Americus, GA passed away peacefully at Phoebe Putney on July 3, 2026. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Rev. Dennis Stalvey will officiate the service.

Maureen Elizabeth Williams Porter was born in Americus on December 19, 1952 to the late Maurice and Elizabeth Williams. She worked for the Department of Labor as an analytical trading specialist. She adored being a mother and grandmother. She was a gracious friend who loved to help others. Maureen was a faithful member of Lee Street Methodist.

She is survived by her daughter, Casey Porter Cox (Steven) and two grandchildren; Emma Cricket Mooney and Cade Cox. Along with many close friends who have become family throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Cynthia Bryant.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
