Mattie F. Thompson

Ms. Mattie F. Thompson age, 87 passed away early Wednesday morning January 28, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Funeral services will be held from the graveside at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Oak Grove Cemetery Rev. James Beckett will officiate.      Ms. Thompson was born April 1, 1927 in Richland, Ga. the daughter of the late Homer Taylor Wooley and Willie Sara Ann Horn Wooley.  She was a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt Company formerly of Americus and was of the Baptist faith.      Ms. Thompson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Brenda Faye Norris (Ronald) of Camilla, Ga.  Also surviving are five Grandchildren; Wesley Norris, Ben Norris, Chris Norris, James Cox and Nicholas Cox, fourteen Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.  Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by three brothers; Jessie Wooley, Frank Wooley and James Wooley, two sisters; Ruby Pines and Janie Barfield, two Granddaughters; Sandy Ann Jackson, Tammy Jackson.      Aldridge Funeral Services...
