Mrs. Mary Wilson Davis, age 78, passed away Thursday, August 7th, 2025 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, August 10, 2025 at First Methodist Church. Rev. Daryl Brown will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Vienna City Cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday, August 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Mary Davis made the lives of her family, friends, and even strangers better. She always found the good in everyone and in every moment. Her faith was strong and unwavering — it was the foundation of who she was. Mary was a shining light to so many and touched countless lives with her love, kindness, and joy. Her oasis was her back porch, coffee in hand, and her bible upon her lap where she greeted mornings in serene prayer and utter peace. She loved her family, her church, her friends, her pets, and the simple pleasures of life — like short jaunts around the lake in the boat, her daylilies, dancing, and singing in the choir. She embraced life fully — traveling, laughing, and living each day to the absolute fullest. Because of her strong faith in the Lord, Mary endured a 30-year on-and-off battle with cancer with strength, grace, and courage. She never let her circumstances steal her joy. In the end, Mary wasn’t just a fighter — she was a beautiful example of faith to us all. Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Jarrett Elliott (Alejandra) of Monroe, NC, Matthew Ryan Elliott (Claudia) of Jacksonville, FL, Bradley T. Davis (Sharon) of Cobb, GA, Matthew Wayne Davis (Allison) of Los Angeles, CA, and Jonathon Charles Davis of Prescott Valley, AZ. Mary is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Lucas Elliott, Mateo Elliott, Paloma Elliott, Sammy Elliott, Joshua Ridge Davis, Cloie Davis, Dylan Davis, Ryan Davis, Duncan Davis, Tripp Presley, Seth Presley, Brinson Presley and three nieces, Cindy Berry, Diane Weldon and Tammy Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Davis, and two sisters, Betty Ayrest and Jane Heidkamp.
