Mary B. (Bishop) Dodson

Mrs. Mary B. Dodson, age 92, passed away early Friday morning, January 23, 2015 at Lillian G. Carter Health and Rehab in Plains, Ga.  Funeral services will be held from the graveside 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Lebanon Cemetery in Plains. Rev. Jeremy Shoulta will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening January 24, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 635 Bob Dodson Road in Plains.      Mrs. Dodson was born March 15, 1922 in Plains the daughter of the late Arthur Bailey Bishop and Nellie Vaughn Bishop.  She taught Grammar School for several years in multiple school systems in Georgia before her retirement. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.      Mrs. Dodson is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Mary Jo Dodson of Plains, Ga. and Bonnie Mallard and Salvador Rodriguez of Plains, Ga.; two sons James Dodson of Plains, Ga. and John Dodson of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters Vera Howell of Americus, Ga....
