Mrs. Margie Johnson Harden

Mrs. Margie Johnson Harden, 83 of Americus, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2019 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Damon Fountain will officiate. Mrs. Harden was born July 19, 1936 in Ellaville. She was the daughter of the late Joe Riley Johnson and the late Hattie Sorrels Johnson. She retired from Manhattan Shirt Company. Mrs. Harden was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by stepdaughters Sue Lapinski of Americus, Ginger Purvis of Albany, Kitty Wisham of Americus and Annette Barnes of Leslie. A stepson Steve Harden of Sylvester; a sister Jeanette Baxter of Hawkinsville and a brother George T. Johnson of Americus. Five step-grandchildren Mallary Wiggins of Americus, Emily Wiggins of Americus, Kesler Wiggins of Douglas, Barbara Russ of Douglas and Johnny Lapinski of Warwick.
