Mrs. Lynda Sue Cortelyou Melton

Mrs. Lynda Sue Cortelyou Melton, age 60, of Americus, Georgia passed away early Tuesday morning on November 28, 2017 at her residence. Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00pm with Memorial services immediately following at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. Lawrence Wiggins and Rev. Mark Carter will officiate. Mrs. Melton was born on November 15, 1957 in Long Beach, California to the late Robert Layton Cortelyou and Helnburma Bowles Cortelyou. Mrs. Melton was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, David Melton; her mother, Helnburma Cortelyou, five daughters and sons-in-law, Beth Reeves (Jerry) of Youngsville, Louisiana, Shelley Buchanan (Thomas James (TJ)) of Crestview, Florida, Cadie Satterfield (Brad) of Perry, Georgia, Savannah Lumpkin (Zoe) of Milledgeville, Georgia and Judi Steelman of Winston-Salem, NC.
