Mrs. Linah Pilcher Neighbors

Mrs. Linah Pilcher Neighbors, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the Mattie H. Marshall Center, surrounded by the love of her family. Though her earthly journey has come to a close, the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Marion County.

Linah Jewell Pilcher was born on September 13, 1948, to the late Tillman Jasper Pilcher, Sr., and Florrie Mae Howard Pilcher. A proud graduate of Marion County High School, Linah carried the values of hard work, dedication, and family with her throughout her life. She was employed with Manhattan Shirt Company and Fresh Farm Products before serving as a secretary and assisting with recordkeeping for Neighbors Trucking Company. Through her years of service, she became a part of the working fabric of her community, leaving her own quiet mark along the way.

Linah was a faithful member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Marion County, where her faith was an important part of her life. She will be remembered with love and gratitude by those who shared in her journey, and her memory will continue to bring comfort to the hearts of those who hold her dear. Though her family will deeply feel her absence, they may find peace in the promise of God’s everlasting love and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Linah leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her devoted husband, James Taylor Neighbors, Jr.; her children, Linah Amanda Jollay (Matt) of Atlanta, Martin “Mark” Fox (Juli) of Americus, and James Taylor Neighbors III of North Carolina; and her brother, TJ Pilcher (Judy) of Buena Vista. Her legacy of love continues through her six grandchildren, Chase Fox, Hannah Fox, James Taylor Neighbors IV, Jackson Neighbors, Nathan Jollay, and Adelynn Jollay, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sawyer Fox who brought another special generation of love and joy into her family.

In addition to her parents, Linah was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Christine Parker, Anita Taylor, Becky Durham, Rainey Pilcher, and Donnie Pilcher.

As her family and friends reflect upon a life now entrusted to the Lord, may they find comfort in the cherished memories they shared and strength in the faith that love does not end with earthly departure. Linah’s life will continue to be remembered through the family she loved, the memories she leaves behind, and the many hearts that will forever hold a special place for her.
