Lessie Slade (Speight) Heath

Mrs. Lessie Slade Heath age 95, passed away Wednesday morning, August 27, 2014 at Perfect Care in Americus.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning August 30, 2014 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services Rev. Keith Parks will officiate.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Cordele, Ga. at 2:00 p.m. the family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning August 30, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before services.      Mrs. Heath was born July 21, 1919 in Henderson, NC the daughter of the late Walter Pope Speight and Lessie Estelle Mizell Speight.  She was a home maker and a member of First Baptist Church of Americus and a member of Benevolence Bible Class.  She was an honorary member of Jr. Service League of Americus.      Mrs. Heath is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Jarrett Slade Hooks (Joe) of Americus, Ga.
