Mrs. Leila Holt Gibson

Mrs. Leila Holt Gibson age 86, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Mattie Marshall Center at Magnolia Manor. A memorial service will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery at 12:00 P.M. Monday, May 12, 2025. Rev. Alexander S. Brown of Golden Isles Presbyterian Church will officiate the service. Leila Holt Gibson was born September 30, 1937 in Americus. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Raymond Holt Sr. and the late Virginia Jones Holt. She exemplified loyalty, resilience and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family. She was a school bus driver for the Sumter County City School System for 15 years and retired in 2002. She loved all the children on her bus and they loved her as well. Mrs. Gibson was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Americus.
