Kenneth P. Wilson was born in 1946 in Manchester, GA. He was a graduate of Manchester High School where he played football. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Georgia Southwestern College. When he moved to Americus, GA, Kenneth got involved with the Americus Jaycees and was the past president of the Toastmasters Club. His active involvement in civic and community affairs also led him to be a member and past vice-president of the Americus Merchants Association, a member of the Civitan Club, Panther Club, American Legion, and the Sumter County Fair Association. Kenneth was also an elected City Councilman. In his role, he advocated for conservation efforts and environmental protection.
A veteran in the U.S. Army, Kenneth loved his country and was honorably discharged as a Sergent in 1975. He worked as a Probation Officer for the Georgia Department of Corrections in Americus for more than 20 years before retiring in 2010.
