Mrs. Kay S. Ansley

Mrs. Kathrine Statham "Kay" Ansley age 83, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at her residence in Gainesville, GA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 24, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Americus. Rev. Daryl Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove cemetery. A reception will follow at the family home 1027 South Lee street in Americus. They will also receive friends and family at the family home on Thursday and Friday late afternoon and evening. Kathrine Statham Ansley was born November 27, 1935 in Americus. She was the daughter of the late Ben Fred Statham and the late Elmer Buchanan Statham. She attended Shorter College in Rome, GA and the University of Georgia and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a Homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Americus and a member of the Epworth Sunday School Class and Mary Martha Circle.
