Mr. John Ed Buchanan

Mr. John Ed Buchanan, 78, of Americus, GA passed away Wednesday September 26, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Rev. Sammy Curry will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Aldridge Funeral Services. Mr. John Ed Buchanan was born September 22, 1940, in Plains, GA, son of the late Brooks Edward Buchanan Jr. and the late Susie Halstead Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan managed the former Western Auto for many years in Americus and was a farmer as well. He worked for Council on Aging with the Meals on Wheels program until he fully retired. He was of the Methodist faith.
