Mrs. Janice Adkinson

Mrs. Janice Rae Bower Adkinson, age 79, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. Dennis Stalvey will officiate the service. The family will greet friends Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the chapel. Jan Adkinson, was a member of the Jockey Club, NCHA (National Cutting Horse Association) and AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association). From the time she was a little girl, she loved all animals but horses had her heart. She and her late husband, Ralph Adkinson, trained, bred, and showed horses of all disciplines, but mainly Cutting horses. Before Cutting horses, they used to teach 4-H Members up in Indiana on their farm and had a total of 44 students they claimed as their other kids, in the early 1970's.
