Mr. James "Jim" Wesley Rather

James "Jim" Wesley Rather, 64, formerly of Auburn, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 following an extended illness in Americus, Georgia. James Rather was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi on August 29, 1951. He lived briefly in Orange Beach, Alabama before moving to Auburn, Alabama where he worked for Auburn University. Mr. Rather is survived by his brother George (Jean) Rather of Fairfield Bay, AR, a daughter, Gina (Bryan) Oshel of Opelika, AL, a son, Wesley Rather of Gulf Shores, AL, and three grandchildren.
