James Dandridge Smith

Mr. James Dandridge [Dan] Smith age 73, passed away Thursday evening April 11, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Lee Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Stewart officiating burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.   Active  Pallbearers will be Ken Neff, Mike Fletcher, Aubrey Abbott, Jack Johnson, Jr. David Ragsdale, John Linneman and Noel Goggins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Servants of God Sunday School Class.  The family will receive friends at the church in the sanctuary from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. before services at other times the family residence 1713 South Lee Street Americus.      Mr. Smith was born October 29, 1939 in Ideal, Ga. the son of the late James Vallie Smith and Dorothy Felker Smith.  Mr. Smith worked for Big Star Food Store for 21 years, Lee Drugs for 7 years and 17 years with Wal-Mar, in the Electronic Department.  He was a member of Lee Street United Methodist Church.      Mr....
