Mr. James Osborne

Mr. James "Boy" Osborne, age 88, of 1145 GA Highway 280 East, Americus, GA passed away Monday, July 18, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM Graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery. Reverend Wendy Peacock and Reverend Mike Truitt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the residence located at 1145 GA Highway 280 East, Americus, GA on Tuesday. Mr. Osborne, a native of Sumter County was born December 17, 1927, son of the late Otis Osborne and the late Maggie Maxey Stribling. He owned and operated for over fifty years, Osborne's Beauty Shop. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post number two. He had one special friend, Bill W. who saved his life in 1978. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
