James Eugene "Jimmy" Mathis

Mr. James Eugene [Jimmy] Mathis age 79, passed away at his residence Wednesday afternoon, January 1, 2014.  Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014. Rev. Steve Golden will officiate.  Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Green Meadows Memorial Gardens in Conyers, Ga.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening January 3, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and other times the family residence 204 Willet Way Americus, Ga.      Mr. Mathis was born August 4, 1934 in Milstead, Ga., son of the late Charlie Reubin Mathis and Jimmie Cornelia Payne Mathis.  Mr. Mathis was retired from American General Insurance Company after 32 years of service.  He was a Master Mason and Past Master of Philologia Lodge # 178 and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
