James Powell [Jim] Wilson

Mr. James Powell [Jim] Wilson age 74 passed away early Wednesday morning March 6, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. Dr. David Kitchens will officiate. Committal services will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, Ga. at 3:00 p.m.  The deacons of Cheek Memorial Baptist church are asked to serve as active pallbearers.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening March 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. other times the family residence 202 East Dodson St. Americus, Ga.      Mr. Wilson was born July 17, 1938 in Valdosta, Ga. son of the late Joseph Woodrow Wilson and Mary Alice Weldon Tinsley. Mr. Wilson served in the US Air Force and was owner of Southern Tree Experts in Americus.
