Mr. Hylier Hershel Parten Jr.

Reverend Hylier Hershel Parten Jr., age 88, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023 from the graveside at the Leslie City Cemetery. Rev. Marty Dillon will officiate the service. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. Hylier Hershel Parten Jr. was born April 13, 1934 in Athens, Georgia. He was the son of the late Hylier Hershel Parten Sr. and the late Georgia Fairy Holbert Parten. He was a retired Baptist Minister. Mr. Parten is survived by a daughter, Donna Hanna of Hudson, FL, two sons and daughters-in-law, Royce Parten (Brenda) of Athens, GA and John Parten (Wanda) of Hudson, FL. Step sons, Heath Bryant (Laura) of Atlanta and Michael Bryant (Cindy) of Atlanta. Two sisters, Bea Jackson of Leslie and Eula Mae White of Athens, GA.
