Gwen Dawkins

Mrs. Gwen Dawkins age 66, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 12, 2015 at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert, Ga.  Memorial service for Mrs. Dawkins will be held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 Rev. Ben McFather will officiate.  The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Vickie Coleman 8707 Jones Mill Road Dawson, Ga.      Mrs. Dawkins was born March 31, 1949 in Cuthbert, Ga. the daughter of the late Billy Hudson and Ellen Jones Hudson.  She was a retired Police Officer with the Cuthbert Police Department, was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Cuthbert.      Mrs. Dawkins is survived by her husband James Donnie Dawkins of Cuthbert, Ga.; Daughter and son-in-law; Vickie Dawkins Coleman (Charlie) of Dawson, Ga.; also three Grandchildren; Christina, Anna and Randy Ellis all of Dawson, Ga.  She was preceded in death by a son James Donnie Dawkins Jr. in 2002 and two brothers; Kenneth Hudson and Greg Hudson.      Memorial contributions may be...
