Mr. Glenn Irvin Cox Jr. age 52 passed away at his sister’s residence in Americus early Tuesday morning, April 15, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services Friday afternoon, April 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. William Hall officiating, Honorary Pallbearers Steve Landers, Mathew Anderson, Ken Day and Adam Cox. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before services and at other times the family residence 329 District Line Road in Americus residence of Debbie and Len Cape. Mr. Cox was born September 25, 1961 in Montezuma, Ga. the son of the late Glenn Irvin Cox Sr. and Minnie Leela McElroy Cox who survives him. He was a truck driver for Dartco Trucking Company and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Ginny Cox of Buckhead, Ga. Mother Minnie Leela McElroy Cox of Andersonville, Ga. step mother Irene Faye Cooper Cox of Americus. Daughter and son-in-law, Tabatha Scott of Buckhead, Ga. [James Jr] of Americus, Ga. two step children Randall Bedley of Buckhead, Ga. Heather West [Joseph] of Broadway, NC step brothers Ernie Gibson of Eatonton, Ga. Alan Newham of Valdosta, Ga. Curtis Newham of Baxley, Ga. Sisters and Brothers-in-law Marie Cox of Andersonville, Ga. Lisa Wright [Richard] of Dickson, TN. Debbie Cape [Len] of Americus, Ga. Brothers and Sisters-in-law Tony Cox [Marsha] of Leslie, Ga. Walter Cox [Kacey] of Darlington, SC. also surviving seven Grandchildren, Alexandra Scott, Brooklyn Scott, James Scott III, Ryan Bedley, Caitlynn Bedley, Landon West and Alexa West and a number of nieces and nephews.
