Mr. Franklin Eugene Peel

Mr. Franklin Eugene Peel age 84, passed away June 9, 2020 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 from the graveside at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. Graylen Hall will officiate. Mr. Peel was born May 4, 1936 in Sumter County. He was the son of the late Crawford Benton Peel, Sr. and the late Bessie Mae Williams Peel. He served in the United States Army and later owned and operated Peel Builder Construction Company for 59 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Michele Gasparre (Mark) of Maggie Valley, NC and Tracy Meek (Rick) of Jacksonville, Fl. A son David Peel (Terry) of Colorado and six grandchildren also survive.
