Mr. Floyd M. Hobbs

Mr. Floyd M. Hobbs, age 68, of 1178 Yankee Road, Plains, GA, died peacefully on February 11, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Aldridge Funeral Services on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Ron Perry will officiate. Interment will be at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the chapel at Aldridge Funeral Services. Mr. Hobbs was born May 6, 1947 in Macclemy, FL, son of the late Oscar Floyd Hobbs and the late Edna L. Willis Hobbs. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Vietnam War. Mr. Hobbs worked for FPL (Florida Power & Light) until retirement. A skilled cabinet maker, Mr. Hobbs opened his own successful cabinet making business in his retirement.
