F. Manson Markette

Mr. F. Manson Markette age 88, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2015.  A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church Saturday, June 6, 2015. Father Rick Buechner will officiate.  The family will receive friends at a reception at the church following the services.     Mr. Markette was born April 27, 1927 in Americus, son of the late Fred Bethune Markette and Marjorie Manson Markette.  For seventy years he was the owner operator of Markette Nursery in Americus. He was a faithful member of Calvary Episcopal Church. Mr. Markette served on the Board of Directors of the Sumter Historic Preservation Society, a lifetime member of Friends of Eden State Park in Point Washington Fl. He was a member of the Americus Mens Garden Club.
