Elizabeth Joyner Bass

Mrs. Elizabeth Joyner Bass age 70 passed away Tuesday evening January 27, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church. Rev. Lawrence Wiggins and Rev. Jim English will officiate.  A private ceremony for the family will be held immediately following at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fort Valley, Ga.  The family will receive friends at the family residence 306 Sharon Drive Americus.      Mrs. Bass was born November 9, 1944 in Roberta, Ga. the daughter of the late James Cam "JC" Joyner and Virginia Holman Joyner in Crawford County.  Moving to Sumter County in 1979, Elizabeth called Leslie, Ga. her home for many years, serving as an active and devoted member of Leslie Baptist Church, the Leslie Garden Club, and the Keep Sumter Beautiful Commission.  Helping found the Leslie Antique Show, now in its 27th year, Elizabeth was an involved and giving member for any organization in which she was involved.  She worked for the...
