Elizabeth Hayes Arthur passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Williams Road Church of Christ in Americus, GA at 11:00 AM. Minister Keith Wisham will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany GA. The family will receive friends at Aldridge Funeral Services on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at other times at 149 Sylvan Ridge Road in Americus, GA. Mrs. Arthur was born on May 14, 1928 in Albany, GA, the daughter of the late Ashley Elvis Hayes and the late Mabel Garrett Hayes. She was employed for 37 years in Albany, Georgia as a bookkeeper for Bob's Candies.
