Mrs. Effie M. Lloyd

Mrs. Effie Mae Hortman Lloyd, age 70 of Americus, passed away at her residence on Saturday May 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. Mark Windham will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Tuesday, May 21st from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Effie Mae Hortman Lloyd was born January 6, 1954 Reynolds, GA daughter of the late John Wesley Hortman and the late Jewell Mildred Powell. She worked for Manhattan Shirt Company, Magnolia Manor and retired from the Sumter County Health Department. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife of 54 years to her husband Charles Edward Lloyd, who passed away two days prior on May 16th. She was Baptist by faith.
