Mr. Edward Stanley Lowell, age 85, passed away peacefully at Magnolia Manor on May 18th, 2026. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00. P.M. in the Chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. A memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2026 at Plains Methodist Church. An interment service will be held Friday May 29th at Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Edward Lowell was born In Portland, Maine to the late Charles and Elsie Lowell. He joined the Air Force to serve his country in 1958. He was very handy and mechanically inclined. He was a father, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, and even a great-grandfather. He had a gift of collecting antiques and refurbishing classics back to their original look. He was even featured on an episode of American Pickers!
He is survived by his sons; Edward Stanley Lowell, Jr. (Cindy) of Columbus, David Carlton Lowell (Dea) of Americus and Stephen Phillip Lowell (Rose) of Plains. He is also survived by a brother; David Lowell of Maine. Along with his twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
