Mrs. Yona Dorothy Skipper Nation, age 97, of 111 Dogwood Hills Road, Americus, GA passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus, GA. A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Central Baptist Church, 190 Upper River Road, Americus, GA. Reverend Hugh Deloach will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Americus, GA. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, an hour prior to service in the chapel of Central Baptist Church. The following are asked to serve as active pallbearers: Tommy Kirbo, Cliff Kirbo, Ronny Pasley, John McCranie, Rhett Pasley, and Ross Pasley. Junior Cordell will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Yona Nation was born February 23, 1919 in Crisp County, GA. She worked for Manhattan Shirt Company.
