Mrs. Doris Cox

lESLIE, GA--Mrs. Doris Cox, age 85, of 112 Howell Street, Leslie, GA died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Leslie Baptist Church. Reverend Howard Scott will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, GA. The family will receive friends in the chapel at Aldridge Funeral Services Tuesday evening April 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Cox was born June 30, 1930 in Natchez, Mississippi, daughter of the late Robert Dean and the late Mable Meeks Dean Faircloth. She retired from Manhattan Shirt Company after working for 28 years as a pattern maker. She was a member of Leslie Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Julie Cox of Athens, GA. and two grandchildren, Russell Cox and Kristen Cox. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband Howard Todd Cox; two sisters, Christine McCard and Etheline Meeks, and one brother, Robert L. Dean. Aldridge...
